Annual Fund Appeal
Dear Friend of the Duncan Conference Center,
For the past 24 years, the Duncan Center has relied upon its friends and the diocese to continue this ministry. Registration and user fees alone cannot sustain this ministry. The Duncan center pledges to:
• Select very carefully and prayerfully those needs and opportunities to which our friends will be asked to give.
• Always tell our friends exactly how your gift will be used.
• Always ask with dignity, remembering the great institution we represent.
• State the request clearly and concisely – then trust and accept the judgment of each person asked.
Upon receiving each gift, we will make sure that:
• Each dollar donated will do a dollar and a quarter’s worth of good.
• Each contributor’s wishes will be carried out speedily and accurately.
• Each contributor will be personally thanked quickly and often.
You are being invited to be a part of this vital and important ministry with your personal donation to the Duncan Center’s Annual Fund. This fund will help the center take care of the many ongoing needs of the guests and staff. Here are a few items that need attention right now:
• The kitchen needs updating with new equipment.
• The Bethesda Refectory (dining room building) needs new chairs, paint and the bathrooms renovated.
• Scholarships for people to attend Duncan Center and diocesan sponsored conferences.
• Continued renovation of lodging rooms.
• New patio chairs and tables.
With your help, all, or at least a good part of these needs could be met. With your help, the Duncan Center’s ministry of hospitality will continue its’ excellence as a world-class conference center. Your tax-deductible donation to the Annual Fund will help insure the future of this center for future generations. Please prayerfully consider supporting this ministry of hospitality and respite. You may either pay on-line or send a check, please designate your donation to the Annual Fund.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support to this ministry and May God bless you and your family in the upcoming year.
Respectfully,
Alison Walsh
Executive Director
